Teacher of Biology & Psychology (Maternity Cover)

Millfield School is seeking a highly motivated and inspiring full-time temporary Teacher of Biology & Psychology to join our team from January 2024 to the end of the academic year.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual who is eager to develop their teaching skills and share ideas with colleagues. The successful applicant will be able to offer Biology teaching to students from Year 9 to A-level and Psychology to A-Level across the full ability range.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in the subject and the way it is taught. The ability to teach other sciences (Chemistry or Physics) to at least GCSE level is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Biology and Psychology to students from Year 9 to A-level
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience of teaching Biology and Psychology to A-level
  • Ability to teach other sciences to at least GCSE level
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
