Senior Learning Design and Content Strategist

QA is seeking a dynamic Senior Learning Design and Editorial Manager to lead our team of learning designers in creating engaging and impactful digital and blended learning content.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with subject matter experts and internal stakeholders to understand the source content and translate it into compelling learning experiences. You'll be responsible for developing and refining our learning design methodologies, ensuring high-quality content that aligns with best practices in UX and accessibility.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a team of learning designers in the creation of digital and blended learning content activities.
  • Developing and refining methods for designing content, providing final quality sign-off where required.
  • Collaborating with the Head of Content Design and Development to manage the team's operational oversight and resourcing.
  • Engaging with clients, learning architects, and learning technologists to ensure alignment on learning objectives and design principles.
  • Acting as an escalation point for content and service issues across multiple projects, handling wider-impact issues effectively.
  • Championing high quality in UX and accessibility principles for content, with due regard to diversity and inclusion.
  • Working with other senior content and learning design team members across various product portfolios to ensure consistency and quality.

We are looking for an individual who possesses:

  • A proven ability to design engaging and impactful learning solutions based on sound and evidence-based principles.
  • Excellent people management and stakeholder management skills.
  • A broad understanding of learning methodologies and familiarity with cognitive psychology theories of learning.
  • Experience producing digital content, preferably in an eLearning supplier role.
  • Experience delivering and incorporating learning design into products.
  • Proven experience as a people manager with a track record in quality and sound operational management practice.
