Job Overview

Role Objective

The primary focus of this position is to architect, develop, and enhance software solutions, leveraging diverse engineering practices to deliver robust business, platform, and technological capabilities for our clients and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Creation and deployment of superior software solutions utilizing industry-standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that the code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for peak performance.
  • Collaborative engagement with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to outline software requirements, formulate solution strategies, and guarantee seamless integration with business goals.
  • Engagement with colleagues, participating in code evaluations, and fostering a culture of code quality and knowledge exchange.
  • Keeping abreast of technological advancements and innovations within the industry, actively contributing to the organization's technology communities to nurture a culture of technical excellence and development.
  • Compliance with secure coding standards to reduce vulnerabilities, safeguard sensitive information, and ensure the delivery of secure software solutions.
  • Implementation of effective unit testing methodologies to ensure optimal code design, clarity, and dependability.

  • Provide consultation on intricate issues; offering guidance to leadership to assist in resolving escalated matters.
  • Identify risk mitigation strategies and develop new policies/procedures to support control and governance initiatives.
  • Assume responsibility for managing risks and enhancing controls related to the tasks performed.
  • Conduct work that closely relates to other functional areas, necessitating an understanding of how these areas collaborate to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with other functional teams to stay aligned with business activities and strategic objectives.
  • Engage in comprehensive analysis of data from various sources, both internal and external, to creatively and effectively solve problems.
  • Communicate complex information effectively, which may include sensitive or challenging content tailored to the audience.
  • Influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Key skills relevant for success in this role include strong experience with tools such as PowerCurve Strategy Manager (PCSM) and databases like Java and SQL, familiarity with Unsecured borrowing and Credit Risk Management, experience with the AWS platform, and a comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle. Familiarity with the Open-Source Hadoop Ecosystem or experience in machine learning scoring with tools such as PCSM or BLAZE is advantageous.

Assessment will also focus on critical skills related to risk and controls, change management, business acumen, strategic thinking, and digital technology, alongside job-specific technical competencies.
