About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Advisor to join our team at Disabled Workers Co-operative. As a Policy Advisor, you will play a vital role in shaping our organization's policy and influencing work, particularly in the area of disability employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of policies that promote disability equality and employment opportunities.
  • Conduct research and analysis on government policies and programs related to disability employment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government officials, employers, and disability organizations, to advocate for disability employment policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to advance our policy agenda.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to our team on disability employment policy issues.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in policy development and implementation, particularly in the area of disability employment.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth analysis of government policies and programs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to disability equality and employment.
