This role will be working within our clients\u0027 Infrastructure - Water South Business unit and based in Reading. Candidates will need water environment experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Preparation of material and sub-contract enquiries including the selection of prospective subcontractors.
* Attending strategy / opportunity meetings with project team.
* Visit sites to identify site specific risks.
* Adjudication and comparison of sub-contractor quotations.
* Risk management throughout the tender period and preparation of the tender Risk Register.
* Value engineering throughout the design phase of design and build projects.
* Presentation of the tender to be presented to senior management at tender settlement meetings including the highlighting of any major commercial issues of elevated risk.
* Ensure a smooth handover of the project to the operational team.
* To support and be familiar with own role and responsibility in respect of Business Continuity Planning.

Requirements:

* Competent use of Microsoft packages e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (essential).
* All forms of contract including traditional, partnering, design & build, 2 stage tenders and frameworks (essential).
* Experience of using estimating software (essential).
* Develop personal skills and capability through on-going training, experience, and mentoring.
* Awareness of BIM.
* Cost Planning.
* Sound technical and commercial abilities including strong numerical skills.
* Risk awareness.
* Having a flexible attitude to people.
* Creative and innovative approach to problem solving.
