About the Role

We are seeking a highly competent and experienced professional to lead our project management team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of successful project management within the development sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, management, and technical direction for the project, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality results.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with USG on managerial, strategic, and technical matters, including making key decisions and solving programmatic problems.
  • Represent Zinc Network to USG, governments, counterparts, local partners, and other program stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment of work plans, MEL plans, and reporting efforts with award requirements, project objectives, and USG guidance.
  • Oversee all contractual and budgetary aspects of program management, including procurement processes and logistics.
  • Monitor and adapt activities to achieve results, ensuring activities are implemented effectively and in complementarity with USG and other donor activities.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with project goals and USG requirements.
  • Ensure high standards for performance and integrity across the program.
  • Mobilize resources, establish key partners, and hire quality personnel and consultants for the project.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders, subcontractors, and partners to facilitate smooth project implementation.
  • Collaborate with the M&E team to track project progress, analyze data, and make operational adjustments as needed.
  • Supervise and lead the assigned operations team, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination among team members.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in a similar role with experience managing projects from inception to close-out.
  • Experience in operations or project management on USG Assistance projects.
  • Knowledge of USG financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Proven experience in budget management.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and cooperating with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in mobilizing and managing resources.
  • Fluency in English with strong communication skills.
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to identify and mitigate operational risks effectively.
