Artist Coordinator Job Description

White Cube is seeking an experienced Artist Coordinator to join our team. As an Artist Coordinator, you will play a key role in managing the gallery's artist relationships, coordinating exhibitions, and ensuring the smooth operation of our art department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Artist Management: Act as the primary point of contact for internal enquiries relating to artists, and for all communication with artists' studio teams.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and manage the Inventory database, ensuring that pricing, status, image, strategy, loans, consignments, and other relevant information are up to date in line with studio records.
  • Sales Support: Assist the Sales team in managing interest/priority client lists for high-demand artists, communicate ordering and outcome regularly, and ensure artists' schedules are updated on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Exhibition Coordination: Oversee the creation of presentation materials for Sales and Artist Liaisons ahead of trips or meetings relating to artists, manage and coordinate sales packs in advance of all internal and external exhibitions, and manage all communication with Sales regarding exhibition details, pricing, and availability of works.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with internal artist email groups regarding incoming work, returns, technical queries, and other miscellaneous information, and facilitate conversations between Sales and Artist Liaisons regarding new works for Art Fairs.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Create and manage weekly exhibition sales reports for the Directors, review and undertake analysis of data provided in quarterly reports with Artist and Sales Liaisons, and prepare presentation documents for Artist Strategy meetings.
  • Studio Liaison: Liaise with studios on specific client requests for works, communicate timeline and track progress of discussions effectively, and coordinate and attend quarterly check-ins with Sales and Artist Liaisons.
  • Physical Stock Management: Manage and monitor physical stock held in managed sites, coordinate regular stock reviews and returns with Artist Liaison, Sales Liaison, and Registrar, and obtain sign-off on all artist-related costs from the Director, Curatorial Business Management.
