Position Summary:

Quest Employment is seeking dedicated Warehouse Forklift Operators for ongoing temporary roles in Orton Southgate, Peterborough. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, reliability, and readiness for immediate employment. A basic proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing) is required.

As a Warehouse Forklift Operator, your responsibilities may vary, including tasks such as product mixing, packing, picking, dispatching, boxing, and palletizing. A certain level of dexterity is necessary and will be evaluated as needed.

Shift Details:

  • Monday to Friday - 6am to 2pm: base rate £12.19 per hour, overtime over 37.5 hours at £18.29 per hour.
  • Monday to Friday - 2pm to 10pm: base rate £13.19 per hour, overtime over 37.5 hours at £18.29 per hour.
  • Sunday to Thursday - 10pm to 6am: base rate £14.19 per hour, overtime over 37.5 hours at £18.29 per hour.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Loading / Unloading: Responsible for loading and unloading materials and products onto and off trucks and trailers.
  • Goods Management: Oversee the location and movement of all parts and products to fulfill customer orders.
  • Dispatch Coordination: Arrange shipments by verifying stock levels and placing orders as necessary.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and calibrate measuring equipment to ensure product standards.
  • Order Picking: Utilize a hand scanner to pick orders for packing and dispatch.
  • Packing: Prepare orders in accordance with packing procedures.
  • Utilize internal software as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work area.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety regulations.
  • Work towards daily productivity targets and meet all KPIs.

Work Environment:

  • Standard warehouse setting.
  • Safety boots and Hi Vis Vest are mandatory.
  • All other required PPE will be provided.

Qualifications:

  • VNA: Accredited License required.
  • Hi Lop: Experience or in-house license will be assessed.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods (8-hour shifts).
  • Capability to lift, bend, reach, and stretch as necessary.
  • Ability to push and pull weights of up to 15kg.
  • Manual dexterity in both hands and wrists.
  • Basic computer skills preferred but not essential.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Experience in a busy warehouse environment preferred but not essential.
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
