Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our team at Burton Recruitment. As a key member of our Group Finance Department, you will be responsible for producing and analyzing financial performance for one of our group businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly management accounts and reporting packs, including variance analysis and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Financial Support: Provide day-to-day finance support to the business, including being a point of contact for financial queries.
  • Process Improvement: Embrace and implement process improvements for the finances of this entity.
  • HMRC Returns: Assist with the preparation of HMRC returns, including VAT, Corporation Tax, and P11ds.
  • External Audit: Support the Group Financial Controller and other members of the Finance team with external audit requirements.
  • Banking and Treasury Management: Assist with banking and treasury management, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Board Reports: Prepare board reports and other financial information for senior management.
  • Fixed Assets and Depreciation: Maintain fixed assets and calculate depreciation.
  • Credit Control: Assist with credit control, including review of aged debt and cash flow reporting.
  • Payroll Support: Support the payroll team with processing, controls, and transacting payments.
  • Purchase Ledger: Process and pay invoices as part of the accounts payable team.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: AAT qualified or part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA, with a commitment to becoming professionally qualified.
  • Experience: Experience in a similar finance position, preferably within a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
