Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Residential Architect to join our team in West Sussex. As a Senior Residential Architect, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of residential and mixed-use projects from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of residential and mixed-use projects, ensuring the realisation of concepts into tangible functional spaces.
- Work with housebuilders, independent developers, and housing associations to deliver projects that meet their needs and expectations.
- Prepare initial feasibility site layouts, detailed masterplans, and planning application packages to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage a portfolio of clients and ensure effective project resourcing to meet their needs and expectations.
- Prepare fee quotes and approach existing and prospective clients for new opportunities to grow the business.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and contractors to deliver projects that meet their needs and expectations.
- Provide quick turnaround on feasibility work and ensure minimal abortive work to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively both internally and externally to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with planning and Building Regulation requirements to meet the needs of clients and stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in running medium to large residential projects from inception to planning consent.
- Strong understanding of residential layout design for housing-led schemes.
- Ability to lead a project team under timescale pressures.
- Experience in preparing fee quotes and winning work.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp.
- Some experience of Revit would be preferred, but is not essential.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of planning and Building Regulation requirements.
