The Role
We are seeking an experienced and business-minded Director of Quantity Surveying to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for setting up and leading our Quantity Surveying department, working closely with our project managers and clients to deliver high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Quantity Surveying department, aligning with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Lead a team of quantity surveyors, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and industry partners to drive business growth and opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure effective project delivery, including budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the construction industry, staying up-to-date with market trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 6+ years' experience in a senior quantity surveying role, preferably in a UK-based property or construction consultancy.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality projects, with a strong focus on client satisfaction and business growth.
- MRICS/MCIOB qualified, with a deep understanding of JCT Contract Administration and other relevant industry standards.
- Experience in one of our listed sectors (prime residential, commercial, or mixed-use) is highly desirable.
