Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Cybersecurity Analyst – Red Team who will concentrate on the technical aspects of IT security, particularly in evaluating the security of applications and infrastructure.

Your role will involve scrutinizing both proprietary and open-source applications, ensuring that our systems and services are designed with privacy and security as foundational elements. You will collaborate with various teams across the organization, especially Software Development and Infrastructure, to ensure that vulnerabilities and security misconfigurations are identified and addressed effectively. It is important to note that this position does not focus on vulnerability management.

The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience and a robust understanding of hacking methodologies, ensuring that there is no over-reliance on automated tools.

You will evaluate both internal and external services utilized by our staff and clients, ensuring that our applications and infrastructure are securely built and configured.

This position is eligible for inclusion in the company's hybrid work-from-home policy.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comprehensive understanding of technology functions and their relevance to Information Security.
  • Familiarity with structured methodologies for conducting and reporting security assessments.
  • Support the existing application security team by testing internally developed applications in controlled environments.
  • Advanced knowledge of penetration testing methods, application security best practices, and industry-standard tools.
  • Proficient in planning and executing security assessments in a structured manner against pre-defined environments while adhering to deadlines.
  • Understanding of command and control frameworks, Active Directory, and cloud penetration techniques.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard Information Security practices.
  • Possession of recognized certifications such as OffSec Experienced Pentester (OSEP), Certified Red Team Operator (CRTO), OffSec Certified Expert (OSCE), OffSec Web Expert (OSWE), and OffSec Certified Professional (OSCP).
  • Strong communication skills to provide security best practice guidance on emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional documentation skills with meticulous attention to detail.

Main Responsibilities

  • Conduct both manual and automated security testing.
  • Perform security vulnerability analysis and assessments.
  • Identify and manage security flaws within business software and infrastructure, collaborating with vulnerability management teams and internal/external resolver groups.
  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and security teams to strengthen our systems against cyber threats.
  • Enhance processes and operations by creating and maintaining technical documentation, custom tools, and scripts.
  • Stay informed about tools, tactics, and techniques employed by real-world threat actors, such as APTs, to mitigate risks in our environment.
  • Assume responsibility for the security of tested products.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the broader business context.
