An exciting opportunity has emerged for a level 3 qualified Early Years Practitioner to become part of Broadwood Resources Ltd, which offers a professional, high-quality childcare service within a modern nursery setting.

Key Responsibilities:


The ideal candidate will uphold a high standard of education, development, and care for children aged 0-5 years, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Ofsted standards. Main responsibilities will include:
• Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors at all times
• Implementing a play-based EYFS curriculum that supports individual progress
• Planning activities that align with the Early Learning outcomes for each child
• Building partnerships with parents/carers, keeping them informed about the nursery and its curriculum, sharing insights on children's progress, and encouraging parental involvement in their child's development
• Acting as a key person, maintaining accurate records to track progress against Early Learning goals, including observations, assessments, daily attendance, and risk assessments
• Understanding and adhering to nursery policies and procedures, including appropriate responses to child protection issues, incidents, accidents, complaints, and emergencies
• Ensuring the nursery environment is safe for children, staff, and visitors
• Assisting in maintaining compliance with Ofsted requirements at all times
• Collaborating with other professionals in the community for the benefit of children and families
• Working alongside senior management to update and review the self-evaluation and improvement plan
• Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by the nursery lead, in line with the nursery's objectives

Essential Skills and Experience:
• Knowledge and proven experience working with children aged 0-5 years
• Empathy and understanding of the developmental needs of young children
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS and current Ofsted statutory guidance
• Practical experience in delivering high-quality learning opportunities
• Commitment to excellence in all areas, demonstrating high motivation and enthusiasm
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to be innovative and creative in approach
• Competence in report writing and maintaining clear, accurate records, alongside basic IT skills
• Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently
• Strong organizational, motivational, and negotiation skills
• Reliability, flexibility, and adaptability
• Calm and nurturing demeanor
• Creative thinker with a good sense of humor
• Ability to perform under pressure and make accountable decisions
• A minimum level 3 Early Years/Childcare qualification is required for this role
• Paediatric first aid certification is essential.
