Job Opportunity for a Skilled PSV Mechanic

Arriva London is seeking a highly skilled and experienced PSV Mechanic to join our team at Tottenham Garage. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet of commercially operated London buses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out planned and preventative maintenance, diagnostic fault finding, and reactive repairs to our fleet of buses, adhering to strict standards set by Arriva and the DVSA.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of vehicle reliability and efficiency.
  • Perform MOT preparation, planned preventative maintenance campaigns, and quality checks to ensure our vehicles meet the highest standards.
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle faults, ensuring reliability and maintenance meet Arriva's standards, which are higher than those set by the DVSA.
  • Work flexible shift patterns, including various working hours to accommodate different lifestyles.
Requirements:
  • Hold qualifications in PSV/HGV/Light vehicle maintenance and repair, such as a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent international qualification (confirmation required).
  • Alternatively, candidates with at least 5 years' experience in repair and maintenance of PSV/HGV/Light vehicles will be considered.
  • Hold a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
  • Be able to pass a PCV pre-employment medical.
