About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Residential Team Leader to join our team at the Cambian Group, the largest independent provider of care and education for children and young people.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading shifts, deputising for the Registered Manager, and ensuring that our team of Residential Care Workers are up to date with all mandatory learning and assisting with their individual development.

As a key member of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of the young people's everyday lives, providing support and care to help them achieve their personal potential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leading shifts and deputising for the Registered Manager
  • Ensuring Residential Care Workers are up to date with mandatory learning
  • Communicating with the on-site team and raising awareness of individual care plans
  • Maintaining accurate written records
  • Contributing to team and staff meetings
  • Providing support and care to young people
  • Encouraging young people in their education and personal development
  • Traveling with young people to and from school or college
  • Preparing food and maintaining the home environment
  • Organising and facilitating social activities
Requirements

Must hold a full UK driving licence

Must have the desire to earn a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent

12 months experience working in a Residential setting is highly desirable

Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice
