As we expand our team, we are seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join us on this exciting journey.
This role demands both visionary leadership and hands-on execution of a platform-centric strategy to bolster our engineering team, enhance automation in deployments, and maintain various applications, including websites, dashboards, and metrics pipelines.
As part of our team, you will engage in the Autonity Project, a public blockchain initiative focused on decentralized derivatives clearing. More information about the Autonity project and its ongoing developments can be found through our resources.
In this role, you will:
- Design and architect platform solutions that empower teams to manage their project deployments.
- Implement and support infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD solutions that are efficient, secure, and maintainable.
- Oversee multi-Cloud integration, management, and monitoring, with a strong focus on security and reliability.
- Establish best-in-class performance and security monitoring infrastructures, including strategies for tracking SLOs and KPIs.
- Conduct incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Manage the deployment, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of our blockchain validator node infrastructure.
- Continuously assess changing requirements, opportunities, new technologies, and innovative approaches.
- Provide expertise, guidance, and support across teams.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of professional experience in Systems or Platform Engineering.
- Extensive experience with critical Linux infrastructure and networks, including monitoring, diagnosing, and troubleshooting in cloud and virtualized environments (AWS, GCP, Digital Ocean), along with automation, scripting, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (Shell, Python) for systems automation and operations.
- Experience in developing REST APIs, backend services with database access (MySQL, PostgreSQL), and automated pipelines.
- Proficient with CI/CD tools and practices (GitHub CI, Travis CI, Jenkins, etc.).
- Experienced with infrastructure-as-code tools and technologies: Docker, Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, EKS, GKE.
- Familiar with monitoring and alerting in cloud environments: Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Elasticsearch, InfluxDB, CloudWatch, Stackdriver.
