We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer to enhance our Transportation division. In this capacity, you will conduct assessments, feasibility analyses, and both preliminary and comprehensive designs for various roadway enhancement and maintenance projects for a range of clients.

Location: Flexible working arrangements available, with occasional office visits required.

Contract Type: Permanent, Full-time

Compensation: Competitive salary range of £35,000 - £42,500 plus benefits.

Key Responsibilities

As a Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting investigations, site assessments, and preparing proposals and solutions for highway improvement and maintenance projects.
  • Creating technical designs, drawings, specifications, and other documentation necessary for infrastructure operations, while contributing to project management plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations 2015 for construction projects and preparing health and safety documentation.
  • Generating technical reports and project proposals.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A solid understanding of highway design and maintenance practices, including the application of relevant design manuals.
  • Experience in delivering complex projects within the field of highway engineering or related technical areas.
  • Familiarity with traffic management regulations and guidelines.
