Key Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity to join the UK Financial Planning & Analysis reporting team, which serves as the central hub for all reporting within UK finance. This team oversees critical strategic finance systems that support month-end performance management and forecasting, ensuring a single source of truth.

You will manage reporting for all areas of Vodafone UK, including the ownership, maintenance, and delivery of month-end and forecast reports. Additionally, you will assist in the Budget and Monthly Rolling Forecast processes for over £6bn in Revenue and £1bn in EBITDA by gathering inputs from the broader FP&A team and ensuring submission into Local and Group systems.

The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, be adept at handling large datasets, have a technical mindset, and demonstrate logical thinking while understanding the commercial factors influencing financials, all within a fast-paced environment.

Additional Responsibilities Include:


• Reporting Development: You will oversee the ownership, maintenance, and delivery of extensive reporting across month-end and forecasting cycles. This requires an understanding of how changes in the Chart of Accounts, commercial trends, and stakeholder needs impact our evolving reporting requirements.


• System Support: Assist with final month-end submissions and reconciliations to ensure system alignment. Support the Monthly Rolling Forecast and Annual Budget submissions into planning systems.


• Technical Liaison: Act as the primary contact with IT delivery teams to maintain and enhance reporting and forecasting capabilities while becoming an expert in Excel and finance reporting systems.


• Group BI Leadership: Ensure alignment of group Chart of Accounts changes with local requirements, serving as the reporting expert for any accounting standard modifications and restatement activities.


• Ad-hoc Reporting: Provide support for various ad-hoc requests and inquiries, which may include custom one-off reporting and investigations into actuals.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to operate efficiently under tight deadlines
- Capable of building relationships and influencing stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills: Proficient in handling large datasets and complex formulas

CIMA/ACCA qualification preferred
- Solid understanding of Finance Systems (Hyperion Financial Management or similar)
- Experience in delivering Financial/Management reporting
- Familiarity with Excel VBA coding
