Position Overview

Role: Cleaner, Sgoil Lionacleit
Hours: 16.5 hours per week, term time, Permanent
Salary: £9 - £9 per annum, including £1 Distant Islands Allowance

A dedicated cleaner is required for a part-time role of 16.5 hours per week during term time. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks, which include:

  • Maintaining floors and surfaces
  • Cleaning and dusting furniture and fixtures in assigned areas
  • Sanitizing toilets and changing facilities
  • Performing tasks such as washing, sweeping, vacuuming, and emptying waste bins
  • Polishing and dusting designated areas and equipment, utilizing powered cleaning tools when necessary

The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of the cleaning standards required in commercial environments. Previous experience in a similar role is essential, along with a strong awareness of Health and Safety regulations concerning the use and storage of cleaning materials and equipment.

This position requires membership in the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, as it involves regulated work with children.

The salary for this position includes the Distant Islands Allowance, and the appointment will be made at the initial point of the pay scale.
