About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer to join our team at Haskel, a leading manufacturer of high-pressure fluid management systems. As an onsite Test Engineer, you will play a critical role in the installation and commissioning of our products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and test Haskel systems, including FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and witness testing.
  • Liaise with customers to resolve technical queries, troubleshoot PLC programs, and develop new test procedures and commissioning documentation.
  • Lead a team of technicians in the commissioning and testing of HRS (High-Pressure Systems) on our Sunderland site.
  • Develop and maintain clear and concise communication with customers, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Conduct on-site training activities for customers, covering safe and efficient operation, basic routine maintenance, and system/product knowledge.
  • Review and complete method statements and risk assessments as required.
  • Contribute to departmental metrics, including safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and employee engagement.
  • Adhere to Ingersoll Rand's code of ethics and participate in the company's EH&S processes and procedures.
  • Drive Six Sigma initiatives on the test site.
Requirements
  • HNC in Electrical or PLC Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of high-pressure gas compression systems, P&ID drawings, and PLC programming.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and JDE.
  • Desirable: knowledge of pump technology, gas, hydraulic, and process systems, ATEX/IECEx or qualification, IPAF qualification, PLC interrogation experience, software knowledge (Siemens/Mitsubishi), programming language (Ladder Logic, ST, SFC, Function Block), HMI screen programming, SCADA systems, Haskel products, and Butech products.
