Senior Pharmacist - Pharmacy Homecare Service Lead

Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pharmacist to lead the Pharmacy Homecare Service and oversee high-cost drugs governance.

Main Responsibilities:

• Liaise with homecare team members, patients, and external providers to ensure seamless delivery of medicines.
• Manage data using Trust systems to optimize homecare services.
• Provide expert advice to patients and staff on homecare issues, ensuring accurate processing and delivery of medicine orders.
• Communicate with commissioners regarding funding and develop Standard Operating Procedures to maintain high standards.
• Monitor and audit homecare incidents to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct research and development activities to enhance homecare services.

Requirements:

Education and Qualifications

Essential

• Master's degree in pharmacy or equivalent qualification.
• Registration as a pharmacist with The General Pharmaceutical Council.

Experience and Knowledge

Essential

• Extensive post-registration experience in clinical pharmacy, with a focus on homecare services.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team working, with a proven track record of collaboration.
• Management experience, with a focus on leadership and team development.
• Specialized knowledge of musculoskeletal disorders and their treatment.
