Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Trade Marketing Manager to join our team at Currys. As a Trade Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing the growth opportunity for new Shark Ninja's product development and ensuring that Currys are at the forefront of their innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the senior buyer to harness a strong relationship with our biggest SDA supplier and develop a customer and commercial strategy to drive business growth.
- Combine customer and competitor insight with financial imperatives to ensure the category squad develops a strategy to maximize CSAT and EBIT.
- Act as a lynchpin between all functional representatives in the squad and beyond, pulling together annual, quarterly, and in-season initiatives and activities to maximize performance.
- Support the analysis of trading performance and provide recommendations for actions to drive business growth.
- Support major launches with instore activations, colleague training, and engagement, as well as above the line activity to drive customers to Currys.
- Work with the customer insight team to ensure the squad adequately understands the category landscape, including customers, competitors, trends, financial performance, range performance, threats, and opportunities.
- Create the blueprint for the annual category strategy, helping define the guiderails for target KPIs, customer shopping journey, category proposition, and the 'go to market' plan.
- Using insight, work with the buyer, planner, services, and credit representatives to define annually the category 'proposition' – the best combination of range, price, availability, services, and credit to maximize customer satisfaction, competitiveness, and financial return.
- Using insight, work with channel representatives and brand & marketing to define the right shopping journey in all channels, including training and engagement of customer-facing colleagues in the category selling journey.
- Work with the central planning and brand & marketing function to develop in line with the annual events calendar the 'Go to market' strategy and plan for the category.
- Champion delivering great customer experiences in all channels, challenging both the category team and supporting functions to improve the experience for customers.
- Bring appropriate analytics and insight from the online and customer team to support decision-making related to day-to-day trading, events, and promotions and range changes to ensure the category are making relevant data-driven decisions and plans.
- Work with the Senior E-commerce Manager to understand category KPI dashboard and reporting metrics ensuring timely and accurate communication of performance vs targets.
- Coordinate responses to major marketing briefs across the category in appropriate templates.
- Be the go-to person from all parts of the business to coordinate the customer experience activities that need to be developed.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations/actions plans to drive sales, profit, and cash.
- Good planning, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Coordinate teams and train and identify training requirements.
