Special Needs Support Assistant Role

We are seeking a caring and supportive individual to join our team as a Special Needs Support Assistant. This role involves working with a 16-year-old male pupil who requires 2:1 support and has a Positive Behaviour Support Plan.

About the Position
  • Work collaboratively with a residential team to provide support to a pupil with complex needs
  • Implement a Positive Behaviour Support Plan to promote positive outcomes
  • Engage the pupil in activities such as gym and swimming to enhance social and physical development
  • Work flexibly to provide support over 2 sessions, ideally after school and on weekends
Requirements
  • A caring and nurturing personality with a strong commitment to supporting individuals with SEN
  • Experience working with individuals with complex needs and a Positive Behaviour Support Plan
  • Relevant experience working with children, young people, or vulnerable adults
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable to each individual's needs
