Position Overview

Skilled Careers is seeking a Regional Quality Assurance Lead to oversee quality management across multiple sites. This role involves both office-based responsibilities and site visits to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establishing Quality Standards: Formulating and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures that align with industry best practices.
  • Quality Strategy Development: Crafting quality plans for construction initiatives, which include defining quality benchmarks, inspection protocols, and assurance checkpoints.
  • Quality Oversight: Supervising the execution of quality control measures throughout the construction lifecycle, ensuring compliance with specifications and monitoring workmanship and materials.
  • Vendor Evaluation: Assessing and selecting dependable suppliers and vendors for construction materials and equipment to uphold quality standards.
  • Training and Development: Providing training and support to construction teams on quality assurance methodologies and best practices to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Assessment: Identifying potential quality risks and devising strategies to mitigate them, including conducting assessments and implementing preventive measures.
  • Inspections and Audits: Performing regular inspections, audits, and quality evaluations of construction activities to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Documentation Management: Overseeing documentation related to quality assurance, including maintaining records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Non-Conformance Resolution: Investigating quality issues and leading initiatives to implement corrective actions to address root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on quality objectives and effective communication regarding quality matters.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracking quality performance metrics, analyzing data trends, and identifying opportunities for process enhancements across projects.
  • Regulatory Adherence: Ensuring compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and industry regulations applicable to construction projects.

Qualifications:

  • Significant experience in a quality assurance role within the construction sector, preferably with a focus on residential development.
  • Proven ability to create and enforce Quality Management Plans.
