About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Air Import Customs Clerk to join our team at Red Recruit Local Ltd. As a key member of our freight and shipping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth clearance of air imports, liaising with customers and customs authorities, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all customs documents are accurate and submitted on time
  • Process customs entries using ASM Sequoia, in line with HMRC legislation
  • Respond to customer queries within 24 hours
  • Deal with customs amendments and reclaims
  • Have a good understanding of incoterms, customs processes, and procedures
  • Experience with NET Freight and Descartes System

Requirements:

  • 2+ years' experience in air import customs clearance
  • Good knowledge of CHIEF, CNS, and Destin8
  • Excellent IT and systems skills, especially with Excel
  • Ability to build and maintain excellent working relationships
