Position: Housing Solicitor and Advice Programme Manager
Compensation: £55,000 annually
Work Schedule: Full Time (consideration for a 4-day work week at the same salary)
Employment Type: Permanent
Location: East London, Community Links Office, Hybrid.
The Housing Solicitor and Advice Programme Manager will join a passionate and skilled team consisting of Senior Debt Advisors, Senior Welfare Benefit Advisors, and a Gateway Triage Officer. This team is responsible for facilitating and managing services such as workshops, free legal sessions, walk-in welfare consultations, and an appointment-based advice desk, ensuring accessibility and a broad outreach in the vibrant East End of London. They are dedicated to expanding this service, and you could be the ideal candidate to spearhead this initiative.
The successful applicant will be a qualified housing solicitor with proven experience in casework, advice, and/or advocacy in areas such as debt counseling, legal assistance, immigration, and housing law. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in East London, which may stem from local needs, policy requirements, mental health issues, welfare benefits, housing concerns, educational barriers, employment challenges, and other factors affecting vulnerable populations and youth.
