At Manchester Airport, we are seeking a talented and creative individual to join our Social Media Team as a Social Media Content Creator. This exciting role presents a unique opportunity to be the online face of the airport, creating engaging content that attracts attention and garners a positive response from our audience of 600k+ on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, creating, editing, and executing content that aligns with our tone of voice and audience. This will include managing the content calendar, understanding each social media channel and its unique purpose, and creating content in different formats, including video, image, and written.

As a Social Media Content Creator, you will work closely with stakeholders, including airlines, retailers, and the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme, to support the delivery of their objectives. You will also be responsible for responding to customer enquiries and feedback, maintaining relationships with customers on social media, and engaging with audiences, including our community of plane spotters and airport advocates.

We are looking for a person who can infuse creativity into our team and spearhead the creation of engaging, top-notch content on all our platforms. You should possess a proactive mindset, along with superb time management and organisation abilities. An enthusiastic interest in social media and a commitment to keeping up to date on industry trends and developments is also crucial.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, creating, editing, and executing content for an audience of 600k+ on Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.
  • Managing the content calendar with one other Social Media Executive to ensure a consistent schedule of content is being delivered.
  • Understanding each social media channel and its unique purpose, including best practices to optimise and tailor content to each channel and its audience.
  • Creating content in different formats, including video, image, and written.
  • Scheduling content using Sprout Social.
  • Writing copy that aligns with our tone of voice and audience.
  • Creating content pro-actively that is aligned to our strategy and objectives, and re-actively by responding to trends and topical developments.
  • Monitoring how content is performing and providing insights and analysis to the Social Media Lead.
  • Working closely with stakeholders, including airlines, retailers, and the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme, to support the delivery of their objectives.
  • Responding to customer enquiries and feedback.
  • Maintaining relationships with customers on social media.
  • Engaging with audiences, including our community of plane spotters and airport advocates.
