About the Role

Bellway is seeking a highly skilled Adoptions Engineer to join our East Midlands Division's Technical team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the adoption of roads, sewers, pumping stations, and public open areas on our developments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise remedial works on roads, sewers, footpaths, and final surfacing.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 38 and S278, and Section 102 and 104 adoption standards.
  • Utilize AutoCAD to produce adoption plans for highways, sewers, and open space areas.
  • Liaise with local authorities, water companies, and the Environment Agency.
  • Ensure all adoptions standards are met prior to legal completion of new homes.
  • Work within an agreed program of adoptions and collaborate with external legal teams to complete legal agreements.
  • Attend and participate in pre-start meetings, progress site meetings, and other meetings to review and assess project performance.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to internal departments and colleagues to ensure cost-effective and on-program remediation works.
  • Share knowledge and assist staff members in carrying out their duties.
Requirements
  • Experience working as an Adoptions Engineer in construction or housebuilding.
  • Sound working knowledge of CAD and other civil engineering software packages.
  • Understanding of CDM Regulations, LABC/NHBC requirements, and Codes of Practice.
  • Knowledge of specific design and specification features related to road and sewer agreements.
