Job Description

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our client's team in Worthing. Our client is a reputable and growing firm of chartered accountants in Sussex, known for their excellent reputation and diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with HMRC on clearance applications, enquiries, and other matters
  • Draft reports and letters of advice on various tax advisory issues
  • Prepare calculations to support tax advice
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings with team members
  • Train and review work of junior staff members
  • Provide support to Directors and Partners in the Tax Advisory Group
Examples of Work
  • Advice and implementation of corporate reconstructions, investor reliefs, and staff incentive schemes
  • Advising owner-managed businesses on remuneration planning and succession planning
  • Preparing research and development claims, VAT returns, and SDLT returns
  • Advising individuals on IHT planning and CGT mitigation
  • Reviewing corporate tax computations and returns
Requirements
  • CTA qualified or AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified with a keen interest in studying towards CTA
  • Experience with corporate taxes is essential, with experience in other areas of tax beneficial
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills
  • Excellent teamwork and organisational skills, including monitoring timetables and budgets
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • A keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge
