Job Overview

At William Grant & Sons, we are seeking a highly skilled Liquid Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our distillery operations, you will play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the quality and efficiency of our products.

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyze raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products for various analytical parameters in accordance with standard procedures and schedules.
  • Interpret results and communicate effectively with production teams to provide information on required actions and recommendations to maintain product quality, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely communication of results to key stakeholders and diligent recording of results.
  • Perform proficiency testing and due diligence analysis, and report on findings.
  • Maintain laboratory instrumentation to agreed-upon timescales to ensure accuracy and consistency in analytical results.
  • Apply continuous improvement techniques to enhance laboratory and plant performance.

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in a relevant science or engineering subject.
  • Technical and practical understanding of laboratory equipment, procedures, and methods.
  • Desirable: experience in analytical method development and validation, and analytical equipment maintenance.
