About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician at our Rowfant laboratory, near Crawley. This is a permanent role that offers excellent training and development opportunities, as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.

Main Responsibilities

As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment, undertaking quality control work in the laboratory, and assisting with quality procedures and other projects as required. You will also be trained in the maintenance of laboratory records, planning and carrying out testing and equipment calibrations, and evaluating the results of tests and calibrations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to hold a bachelor's degree in a science-related field and have a small amount of laboratory experience. However, we are flexible and willing to invest in the training and development of applicants with a degree or similar level of education in any discipline and with no previous experience. You will also need to hold a UK driving licence, as you will be required to occasionally use the company pool car to visit locations with a colleague and take samples.

What We Offer

We offer a great total compensation package, including a salary of £23,000 - £28,000 per annum, our Colas Pension Scheme with combined contributions of up to 10%, and a Life Assurance Scheme which is x4 basic salary. You will also receive 25 days annual leave per year + Public Holidays, as well as opportunities to study towards a fully funded Professional Qualification and ongoing personal/professional development.
