Position Overview:


The Digital Marketing Communications Lead plays a vital role within the Brand and Marketing Team, engaging diverse audiences in our commitment to enhancing transport accessibility for individuals with disabilities.


Your primary responsibility will be to devise strategies aimed at expanding and optimizing our digital platforms and marketing initiatives, while also actively participating in content creation and the daily management of our website and social media outlets.

You will oversee a small team, which includes a Brand and Marketing Executive, a Case Study Executive, and additional agency or freelance support as necessary.


As a member of the Brand and Marketing team, your expertise will contribute to collaborative projects ranging from branding to events and accessibility initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
Lead a compact digital and content team, serving as the principal digital communications authority for the Communications department.

Spearhead the creation and execution of our Digital Roadmap, orchestrating projects and enhancements that effectively attract and engage our target audiences.

Manage project delivery involving team members, freelancers, and the broader organization as required.
Oversee the development of our website with assistance from the Brand and Marketing Executive. Cultivate our partnership with our digital development agency and collaborate with colleagues to pinpoint activities that necessitate development work.

Collaborate with Communications Team members to showcase our portfolio of research, innovation, and grant-making, formulating digital communication strategies and producing content.

Supervise the daily operations of our social media platforms with support from the Brand and Marketing Executive.

Line-manage the Case Study Executive, who is tasked with creating and commissioning case study content, ranging from written narratives to photography and video.

Assist them in developing and adhering to policies and processes while seeking ways to enhance our case study initiatives.

Line-manage the Brand and Marketing Executive, who specializes in digital communications and provides support to the broader Brand and Marketing team as needed.

Aid them in monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of our digital channels.

Provide digital expertise and guidance for shared Brand and Marketing team projects, as well as broader Communications Teams initiatives as required.


Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:
A degree or substantial operational experience in Digital Marketing/Communications.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in digital communications and social media management, including oversight of various social media platforms.

Proficiency in managing websites, including collaboration with suppliers on digital development and user experience.

Experience in crafting social and digital strategies for integrated communication projects and campaigns, developing content, and executing paid promotions.

Familiarity with planning and implementing digital marketing techniques, such as SEO.
Experience in managing reputational challenges on social media platforms.
Proven ability to manage projects involving multiple stakeholders.
Knowledge of accessibility best practices for online channels.
Experience in line managing staff.

Desirable Qualifications:
Experience in leading and developing a digital/content team.
Familiarity with the charity sector.
