We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Management Officer to join our team in the Traffic & Flood Risk Management Service area. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the Flood Risk Management Team to effectively manage, develop and deliver the flooding duties of the City Council.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the investigation of flooding matters and evaluate options to address and resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain a register of all drainage assets throughout the City, including those owned by third parties.
- Liaise with Emergency Planners and the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy to ensure an appropriate flood incident management plan.
- Collaborate with communities and citizens at risk of flooding to promote improved resilience and self-help measures.
- Experience in developing creative solutions to meet service priorities and working proactively in a multi-functional transportation / flood mitigation team environment.
- Ability to implement duties as required by the Flood Risk Regulations 2009, Flood and Water Management Act 2010 and Land Drainage Act 1991 as they apply to Nottingham City Council.
- Experience in supporting proactive engagement with communities and citizens at risk of flooding.
- Ability to liaise with Emergency Planners and the LRF to ensure an appropriate flood incident management plan.
