Operations Director

Kemp Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join their fast-growing team in the Dorchester area. As a key member of the management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the personal progression of staff members and ensure they have the necessary skills and training to excel in their roles.
- Liaise with all departments, including Sales, Parts, Engineering, Human Resources, and Rentals/Leasing, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local customers and vendors/suppliers to ensure a best-in-industry service.
- Guarantee a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty by ensuring all customer needs are met and exceeded.
- Oversee the branch's financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Conduct regular performance reviews for all members of the management team to ensure they are meeting their goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement health, safety, and risk management strategies to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- A proven track record in a senior management position, preferably in the material handling, plant, or powered access sales and/or rental industry.
- Strong people management skills, including the ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to consult and advise stakeholders.
- A proven ability to drive business growth and improve financial performance.
- A full, valid driving license and the ability to travel to customer sites as required.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
