Main Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of our gardening team, ensuring the successful completion of jobs within agreed timescales and quality standards.
  • Carry out planned tasks in accordance with contract requirements, including grass cutting, planting, weeding, formative pruning, and management of various landscape types.
  • Select and use the correct equipment for each task, adhering to all organization policies and procedures.
  • Meet and greet new and existing customers, providing knowledge input and advice on all aspects of gardening.
  • Bi-weekly disposal of green waste and report any problems or failures that may impact the company or our customers.
  • Contribute to the smooth running of the team, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
  • Identify hazards, defects, and the need for repair, ensuring compliance with agreed codes, law, working practices, and health and safety.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Requisite knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials common to the trade.
  • Practical knowledge of plants and experience using general garden machinery.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of basic health and safety.
  • A full clean driving license.
  • Fluent English speaker.

  • Must be physically fit, as the job requires a high level of physical activity.
  • Must be friendly, outgoing, and confident in meeting new people, with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be punctual, organized, and respectful, with the ability to work effectively under time pressure.
  • Must have high working standards and be prepared to work in all weather conditions (clothing provided).
  • Must have a high level of integrity and honesty in all dealings.

Working Hours

The hours of work are 08:30 - 04:30, Monday to Friday.
