Lettings Negotiator Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lettings Negotiator to join our team at AMR - Specialist Property Recruiters. As a Lettings Negotiator, you will play a crucial role in achieving move-in targets, ensuring compliance with legal documentation, and building the brand in the local marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work with the lettings team to achieve move-in targets and ensure compliance with legal documentation.
  • Deal with telephone and face-to-face enquiries, providing high levels of customer service at all times.
  • Pre-qualify applicants and arrange viewings.
  • Carry out viewings and obtain feedback.
  • Support the lettings team with administrative duties, including issuing terms of business to landlords and carrying out checks to comply with legislation.
  • Negotiate new tenancies with landlords and tenants.
  • Process tenant references and right-to-rent checks.
  • Prepare tenancy agreements, issue legal documents, and ensure safety certificates are in place prior to move-in.
  • Work with the property management team to ensure properties are prepared for move-in.
  • Book and arrange inventories.
  • Ensure a smooth handover of keys and a positive experience for tenants during the application process.
  • Manage your own workload and emails.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current lettings legislation and landlord/tenant laws is desired but not essential.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong administrative skills with attention to detail, especially when dealing with contracts.
  • Confidence in dealing with a variety of people, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • Able to work as part of a team and alone.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Articulate, professional, and well-accustomed to a client-facing role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and good keyboard skills.
  • ARLA qualified or willing to work towards an ARLA qualification.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, busy environment.
  • A positive and adaptive attitude to help the team achieve their goals.
  • Pro-active and a desire to achieve results.
  • Full driving license required.
