Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our design team at Apex Resourcing Solutions Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for working in coordination with all other design team members, internal and external, and providing excellent client care and reporting throughout the whole project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Arrange and carry out site surveys as required and prepare the appropriate reports.
  2. Demonstrate and deliver acceptable technical and report writing skills.
  3. Carry out condition surveys and feasibility studies.
  4. Produce designs, calculations, room data sheets, equipment schedules, specifications, and other technical information as required to meet the agreed project stage/level, and coordinate these with others in conjunction with the CAD Department.
  5. Carry out and report on defects inspections and snagging and input into the witnessing of commissioning.
  6. Assist with the supervision and mentoring of any junior, trainee, or graduate engineers as agreed, and where required, provide technical support to others and encourage innovation and engineering development.

Requirements

  1. Ideally degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline such as building services or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
  2. Background in Electrical Engineering / Building Services design environment.
  3. Technical Report Writing.
  4. Design Experience using Amtech IESVE, AutoCAD, and/or 3D Revit software packages.
  5. Strong MS Office skills (particularly MS Excel).
