The Role: Painter & Decorator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Painter & Decorator to join our dedicated maintenance team. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our hotel maintains its high standards of beauty and functionality.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out general painting and decorating tasks throughout the hotel, including touch-ups, repairs, and full redecoration projects.
  • Assist with French polishing repairs as needed (training provided).
  • Undertake plastering repair work using your trade skills.
  • Prepare surfaces for painting or decorating using hand-held power tools such as scrapers, sanders, and fillers.
  • Mix and thin paint to achieve the desired color and texture.
  • Apply paint, stains, lacquers, varnishes, and other materials using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company health and safety regulations.
  • Manage stock levels of painting and decorating tools and materials.

Requirements:

  • Minimum two years of experience as a Painter & Decorator, preferably in a hotel or similar environment.
  • Relevant trade qualifications.
  • Previous experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
