Quality Engineer Job Description

Our client in Worcester is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team due to expansion.

About the Role

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality of products manufactured in-house and by subcontractors. This includes inspecting components, managing metrology and CMM programming, and performing root cause investigations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect manufactured components to ensure they meet medical device requirements
  • Manage the quality of released and incoming products
  • Ensure inspection systems and procedures meet product and process needs
  • Manage metrology and CMM programming
  • Perform root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
  • Facilitate change processes and establish quality objectives
  • Manage supplier approval activities and SCARs
  • Conduct internal audits and maintain quality documents
  • Assist the QA/RA Manager with other QA/QMS activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of quality management systems and good manufacturing practice. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team.

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual who is able to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
