Management Accountant

Hays Finance is delighted to partner with a large logistics company to add to their finance team through a period of growth. As a Management Accountant, you will work alongside the Finance Manager, reporting to the Head of Finance, and be responsible for high-profit business units across the region, supporting growth projects, and driving sustainable financial performance.
Main Responsibilities:- Proactively support business growth through financial modeling and commercial insight.
- Support the prioritization of investment and business cases with a focus on maximizing return on investment.
- Promote a data-led approach to discussions with divisional teams.
- Support commercial negotiations with customers and suppliers.
- Review customer and supplier terms and conditions, highlighting risks and opportunities.
- Manage financial performance, including financial reporting (monthly, divisional, and group) and forecasting.
- Develop an understanding of funding arrangements and control cash in line with budgets/forecasts/covenants.
- Develop effective relationships across the Divisional leadership team.
- Maintain appropriate controls and ensure adherence to delegated authorities, continually evolving governance structures as the business grows.
- Seek to continually improve processes and drive efficiency into financial procedures.
- Qualified Accountant or Part Qualified Accountant towards the end of studies.
- Proven track record in finance business partnering.
- Capability to operate cross-functionally.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP.
- Commercially aware with a proven ability to identify and drive profit/cash improvement initiatives.
- Strong planning and forecasting skills.
- Able to partner with non-financial leaders.
- Strong analytical skills.
