We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to lead step-change improvements within our primary areas of Operations. This role will drive incremental improvements using lean methodology to enhance product quality and boost manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless roll-out of parts and products into production.
- Ensure safety, quality, production, and cost standards are met.
- Provide weld support, including process development, tooling, and documentation.
- Support laser and press operations, including process development and tooling.
- Contribute to other primary areas, such as form tooling, tube bending, and machining fixtures.
- Specify and implement new machinery to support long-range growth plans.
- Manage and implement primary area change notes, including setting standard times and routings.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures where required.
- Identify and manage opportunities to reduce waste within processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent required; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, and Quality Control Techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD systems, preferably Siemens NX.
- Ability to work with staff at differing levels.
- Good understanding of ISO and OHSAS requirements.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to assess and upgrade procedures and systems.
- Versatility and a self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
