Position Overview

Are you a dedicated Nursery Nurse seeking a role within an educational environment? We have an exciting opportunity for teaching assistants to join a primary institution specializing in autism support.

About the Role

This position involves working with students aged 4 to 11 who are diagnosed with autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). Some of these students may also experience additional sensory or physical challenges, as well as behavioral difficulties.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored learning assistance to both individuals and small groups.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to enhance educational outcomes.
  • Utilize a variety of resources to engage students and promote understanding.
  • Focus on developing early communication, interaction, and cognitive skills essential for learning.
Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with experience in early years education or a strong desire to work with children on the autism spectrum. Career Teachers offers a selection of complimentary CPD accredited courses specifically designed for SEND to help you enhance your skills.

Contract Details

This is a long-term contract position with a duration of one year. The role is available for immediate commencement.

Safeguarding Responsibilities

It is crucial to be aware of and uphold the safeguarding responsibilities for all pupils under your supervision. You will work closely with both teaching and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Additional Information

We are committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children and young people in education. An Enhanced DBS disclosure will be required.
