Job Title: Waiting Staff

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Waiting Staff to join our team at the House of Lords. As a key member of our Catering and Retail Services team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of service and presentation are maintained at all times.

The successful candidate will have the flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings and weekends, and will be required to work in different outlets within the Peers Dining Room Group. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing tables, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Table mise-en-place and station mise en-place for lunch, tea service, and dinner
  • Preparation of sauces and condiments
  • Achieve familiarity with menu items and wine list to recommend choices to customers
  • Greet and receive Members and guests in your allocated area
  • Take food and drink orders and serve food and drink ordered to guests according to standards set by the Line Manager
  • Ability to use and manage the EPOS system
  • Observe and adhere to daily and weekly additional duties check list
  • Observe all legislative requirements including those concerning hygiene, food, health, and safety at work
Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a high-profile establishment (preferably 4* or 5*)
  • Great customer service skills
  • A basic understanding of health and safety
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
