Site Manager

Pioneer Selection is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead and develop their operations team. As a key member of the company, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational success and ensuring adherence to existing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective day-to-day management, motivation, and development of all staff.
  • Maintain discipline and ensure employees work to contract, including conducting return-to-work interviews and disciplinary hearings.
  • Identify and record training needs in a skills matrix, creating development plans accordingly.
  • Own plant performance and product quality, investigating customer complaints and implementing corrective actions.
  • Publish and analyse management data related to operational performance, addressing root causes of negative variances.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety in all areas.
  • Actively participate as a member of the HACCP team.
  • Identify and implement potential business improvement opportunities.
  • Contribute to strategic development in monthly management meetings.

Requirements:

  • Qualified multi-skilled engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in a quality-conscious SME manufacturing environment (Agriculture, Food, Milling, Feed Milling).
  • Strong knowledge of company management systems, HR, and leadership.
  • IOSH certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
