Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Level 3 Early Years Practitioner for our Band 3 role at Little Apples Nursery. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about nurturing young children and fostering their development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address the diverse needs of children aged 3 months to 5 years.
  • Effectively manage time to fulfill additional responsibilities, including planning and maintaining developmental records.
  • Provide professional and compassionate support to parents and guardians in various situations.
  • Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage and other regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to nursery policies and promote best practices in childcare.
  • Contribute to a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment for children and families.
  • Collaborate with team members and mentor Nursery Assistants and Students to help them reach their full potential.
  • Promote diversity and maintain a culturally sensitive atmosphere within the nursery.
  • Exhibit flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of children.
  • Act as a key holder and manage nursery opening and closing procedures as needed.
  • Administer prescribed medication or children's paracetamol when required, in the absence of management.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Full and Relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualifications.

Desirable:

  • Food Handling Certification.
  • Paediatric First Aid Training.
  • Child Protection Awareness.
  • SEN Training.

Experience

Essential:

  • Experience working with children aged 0 - 5 years.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential:

  • Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Experience in caring for children aged 0 - 5 years.
