Key Responsibilities
- Address the varied needs of children aged 3 months to 5 years.
- Efficiently manage time to fulfill additional responsibilities, including planning and maintaining developmental records.
- Professionally and compassionately meet the needs of parents and guardians in everyday and sensitive situations.
- Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage and other regulatory requirements at all times.
- Adhere to nursery policies and actively promote best practices in childcare.
- Foster a safe, hygienic, and stimulating environment that encourages positive play experiences.
- Collaborate with team members and support Nursery Assistants and Students in reaching their full potential.
- Promote diversity and maintain a culturally sensitive environment within the nursery.
- Exhibit flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of children.
- Assume key holder responsibilities, including opening and closing the nursery as needed.
- Administer prescribed medication or children's paracetamol when required, in the absence of management.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Full and Relevant Level 3 Childcare Qualifications
Desirable:
- Food Handling Certification
- Paediatric First Aid Training
- Child Protection Knowledge
- SEN Training
Experience

- Experience working with children aged 0 - 5 years
