We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead and manage site activities on a major highways scheme in Chelmsford. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the construction of road infrastructure and drainage systems, ensuring work is completed safely, profitably, and in line with the programme.
Key Responsibilities- Manage site activities on major infrastructure projects, ensuring high-quality work and maintaining excellent relationships with the team, clients, and suppliers.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, including the Project Manager and subcontractors, to deliver key projects for our valued clients.
- Develop and implement effective project management strategies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that all work is completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Significant experience in highways construction, specifically road building and drainage systems.
- A proven track record of managing projects up to £10 million.
- Strong knowledge of NEC or ICE contract conditions and programme management.
- SMSTS certification and a valid CSCS card.
- An industry-recognised qualification (Degree, HND, NVQ) in Civil Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
