Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land Director to join our team at Vistry North East Midlands. As a key member of our Land and Planning department, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition of land and maintaining a high-quality land bank. Your expertise will be crucial in facilitating the purchase of land assets, supporting the planning process, and monitoring the land bank to ensure a steady supply of land for development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase of land assets to maintain a healthy land bank and ensure a steady supply of land for development.
- Support the planning process by working closely with the planning team to ensure that land acquisitions align with the company's strategic objectives.
- Monitor local plans and market trends to identify opportunities for land acquisition and development.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, developers, and local authorities.
- Provide regular reports to the regional board on land asset issues and purchases.
- Contribute to the development of the company's land acquisition strategy and ensure that it aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Proven track record of buying land in the regional area.
- Senior experience within Land and Planning for a PLC developer.
- Degree in Estate Management, equivalent, or RICS qualified.
- Strong mathematic and IT ability.
- Excellent negotiation and networking skills.
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Able to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
