Job Summary

The Head of Regulatory Reporting and Compliance at Jefferies will be responsible for overseeing and managing all regulatory reporting functions. This senior role requires a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead a team to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the regulatory reporting team, providing direction, support, and development opportunities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to the relevant competent authorities, including the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Bundesbank.
  • Develop and maintain systems and processes to meet department needs for both new business and regulatory changes.
  • Work closely with the business areas and risk on capital planning exercises, internal assessment of risk, and allocation of capital by business.
  • Collaborate with the risk team to optimize existing regulatory treatment to support the firm's current and new business development.
  • Maintain key relationships with regulatory bodies and industry associations to ensure Jefferies' views are considered in relevant matters.
  • Produce Pillar disclosure, working with the reporting and risk teams to source inputs into the document.
  • Develop the Internal Capital and Risk Assessment Process (ICARA) and solvent wind-down plan, including business stress scenarios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Extensive experience in regulatory reporting within an investment banking environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and EU regulatory requirements, including MIFIDPRU and IFR.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in regulatory reporting software and tools.
