As a Care Specialist with Home Instead, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and companionship to our clients in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities
- Attend service reviews to ensure that our care professionals are practicing the current standards of care delivery and maintaining high standards for our CQC rating.
- Ensure that our care professionals are happy and that our clients are satisfied with the care they receive.
- Field support care professionals will ensure that our values of fairness, reliability, honesty, support, and happiness are met.
Client Care
As a Care Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to assist clients with their daily activities, providing care in a dignified manner from start to finish. This will include:
- Personal Care: assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, when required.
- Medication Reminders: ensuring clients take their medications as prescribed.
- Meal Preparation: planning and preparing nutritious meals according to dietary needs.
- Light Housekeeping: assisting with light cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Transportation: providing transportation for clients to appointments, errands, and social outings.
Building Relationships
Gaining familiarity with your hobbies and interests, you will be matched with clients and will remain under their care, allowing you to build a trusting relationship and engage with each other. You will not only complete the task-led elements of your visit but also be a companion to your clients.
Qualifications and Requirements
You should have experience in care, ideally with an NVQ2 & 3 in Health & Social Care. However, if you don't have these qualifications and have a lot of experience, we will gladly discuss the role with you. You must be a driver with your own vehicle.
